Summary

The validation of the standard route of the CRISTAL French criticality package, namely APOLLO2-MORET 4, is based on the calculation of more than 1800 critical experiments. This validation database contains a broad variety of configurations in terms of fissile medium, moderator, reflector and neutron spectrum. Therefore, this validation database has been used to contribute to the validation of the JEFF3.1 nuclear data evaluation file. Calculation-experiment comparisons highlight that for most of the cases, JEFF3.1 data improve the keff prediction. However, improvements are still needed for several isotopes in some areas, especially in intermediate spectra.
