Sheet context and status
The sheets listed below provide information on the consequences for humans of exposure to certain radioisotopes. Drafted by different IRSN experts, their purpose, in particular, is to reply to the questions posed by experts confronted with urgent requests concerning situations involving radioelements.
Data is voluntarily given without details and corresponds to the principal information necessary to reply to these urgent requests.
It consists of data and dose coefficients relative to internal and external exposure to the radioisotopes in question. The emphasis of these sheets is on radioisotopes rather than radioelements: with regard to behaviour and future effects on humans, the respective periods and emissions of the different isotopes of the same chemical element confer different effective periods (physical and biological periods).
The sheets also provide details concerning the protection of personnel and protective measures to be taken in the event of accidents.
In addition, a medical sheet has also been drafted, dealing with the doses of stable iodine to be taken in the event of accidents.
All the sheets are in French.
