Résumé

In order to study the heat and mass transfers between the spray droplets and the atmosphere for thermalhydraulics conditions representative of a severe accident in a Pressure Water Reactor, the French Institute for Radioprotection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) developed the TOSQAN facility. This paper is devoted to present the development and qualification of the ILIDS technique, in order to measure droplets size in a large containment vessel.
