The Ionizing Radiation Dosimetry Laboratory (LDRI) is located at Fontenay-aux-Roses, in the Paris region and managed by Carmen Villagrasa.

The main research theme of the Ionizing Radiation Dosimetry Laboratory is "Biological dosimetry and indicators".
Research axes
- Perform studies and research on external dosimetry measurement and calculation techniques within the field of conventional radiation protection;
- Set up and use installations supplying reference radiation and the associated instruments, for photon and beta metrology applied to dosimetry, for the requirements of the IRSN and any other external customer as well as within the context of BNM/COFRAC activities;
- Perform services and supply assessments for the qualification of radiation protection instruments;
- Perform studies and research on experimental and digital techniques for dosimetric reconstruction and retrospective dosimetry in the case of accidental exposure and ensure the operational character;
- Perform dosimetry studies and assessments for work stations and special exposure situations in the industrial, medical and transport sectors;
- Support the Dosimetry Surveillance Laboratory (LSDOS) and radiological experiment dosimetry.

Partnership and research networks
The LDRI is involved in two European contracts:
- DOSMAX “Dosimetry of Aircrew Exposure to Radiation During Solar Maximum”. Dosimetry of flight personnel exposure in a maximum solar cycle period
- EVIDOS “Evaluation of Individual Dosimetry” in Mixed Neutron and Photon Radiation Fields: Workstation studies in the European nuclear industry, spectrometry, individual dosimetry, angular dosimetry and spectrometry.
The LDRI manages the SIEVERT system, set up with the General Civil Aviation Division (DGAC), the Paul-Emile Victor French Polar Institute and the Paris Observatory, which enables calculation of cosmic radiation doses received by flight personnel and passengers on board commercial aircraft.
