Study on aerosol retention by cracked concrete wall

The objective of this study is to determine an aerosol deposition model in cracks. Many experiments of retention in cracked concrete wall were performed for different aerosol sizes (1 µm and 4 µm). However, the studied deposition domain doesn't allow determining a deposition model in according to the experimental results and, the use of an aeraulic crack width is not really coherent with aerosol correlations. So, experiments with 60 nm aerosols were performed to reach the diffusional domain. In this domain, we can use only the diffusional deposition correlation and we can determine "geometric" crack characteristics. After, in using these crack parameters, we can determine an experimental correlation describing aerosol deposition in cracks for different deposition domains.
