In order to determine the impact of aerosol pollution on ecosystems and buildings, the transfer functions of particles onto vegetation or buildings must first be studied. According to the meteorological conditions, the aerosol deposit may be considered as wet or dry. This dry deposition, characterized by a dry deposition velocity, depends on numerous parameters, such as for example, the topography of the land, the substrate, the micrometeorological conditions (turbulence) and the size distribution of the aerosols. The study of dry aerosol deposition remains an area of research which is still open and which necessitates an experimental approach in situ to take into account the local characteristics (turbulence, substrate, vegetation, etc.)
