The paper is devoted to the dynamic fracture of heterogeneous material. The micromechanical method used consists in a multibody approach based both on the concept of Frictional Cohesive Zone Model and on the Non Smooth Contact Dynamics. A multiscale method based on numerical periodic homogenization leads to a two field Finite Element formulation and an appropriate extension of the NSCD is proposed. The ability of this framework is illustrated by the dynamic fracture of hydrided Zircaloy-4.
