Contamination of people and the environment

Six months after Fukushima’s disaster, most of the areas devastated by the earthquake and then by the tsunami on 11 March 2011, have been cleaned up.

But on the site of the nuclear plant, the cores of the three damaged reactors must still be cooled by water injection, and radioactive particles that were released still pollute the surrounding lands. A contamination that needs to be reduced to minimize the doses in foods, limit health problems and save the economy of the region.

Production date : December 2011
