In the present paper, a brief description is given of the Graphical User Interface (GUI) of the new CRISTAL criticality-safety package devoted to nuclear fuel facilities and transportation for criticality survey works, safety studies and benchmarking. The main aim of the GUI is to offer users a high level of user-friendliness and flexibility in the data description of codes of the package.
The two main components of the GUI (CIGALES and EGM) are presented, the arborescent structure of the panels is shown and applications illustrate the possibilities of these tools available on Windows NT environment or UNIX. The CIGALES computation code is a data generator used to provide data files automatically for the APOLLO2 assembly code. The EGM 3D graphic editor allows users to model graphically and interactively 3D complicated configurations for the MORET4 Monte Carlo computation code.
